Daytum Screencast: Collect from Daytum on Vimeo.

As we continue to dive into the digital age, more web based tools become available for people to use. They can range from simple stock tracking tool to heart rate monitor. While some of these tools are actually useful, most of them are just pointless. Take Daytum as an example (shown in above video), an easy-to-use tool/app that track pretty much everything about your daily life. From how many cups of latte you drink each day to what movie you watched, all details are recorded. Now, I can't say this is not useful. I can imagine someone who has diabetes may find this tool helpful. But for the rest of us, really, how much tracking is too much? Do we need to track how many liter of urine we produce each day? Or better yet, have a small tracking device implant to our body, then we won't even need to type in the data.

While I am enjoying the visual presentation of this Daytum tool, I really want to tell the creator of this tool to "get a life".
